(sorry for shit pic quality got lazy i got it from my instagram)
anyways wow it was a huge success tabling at Otakufest (coughs considering how most conventions in my country has been going to shit BUT NOT MY GOAT OFEST). I made enough money to: repay the loan to my friend, reprint posters, and buy a keyboard + new case for my ipad and some other personal spendings.
This was something so unreal to me because the last event i tabled at was a pretty bad experience: barely made any money, extremely high table fees + people were cheapðŸ˜ðŸ˜(it was a free to enter event held in an open mall so anyone could just pass and come by). I ended up lowballing my stuff so much, that AT LEAST 5 told me to increase my prices and literally gave me tips bc they felt bad💀. Enough about money, the event was well planned, and the staff actually took care of us, and everyone was so nice and respectful.
For my fellow Newgrounds enjoyers, yall wouldn’t believe how many people recognized my stuff (like people actually bought my Pico’s School posters, something that’s very obscure). I also had an Ena poster and a Hank sticker and some people went bonkers over them because I’m probably the only person selling those. Oh yea there was a Sarvente cosplay would you believe that????(if you want to see this it’s on my instagram). I plan on making a serious Madcom poster to sell as prints, as well as a madcom sticker sheet.
Oh yea my fnaf prints were a huge hit, my chica one got sold out first day, and more than 10 people were bummed out about it the next day.
I used to wonder, as a congoer, how people tabling would be missing out on the actual event itself bc theyd just be in one place, but turns out, it’s a whole different experience, and meeting and getting to talk to people and share about common interests.
